At age thirty-one, Zhao Qingjian became the oldest male ever to win a gold medal in modern wushu at the 11th National Games of the People’s Republic of China.
Trained in both modern wushu and traditional kung fu, Zhao is a former member of the Beijing Wushu Team as well as the Shaolin Warrior Monk Demonstration Troupe.
Zhao earned many national and international titles, including a gold medal at the Wushu Tournament Beijing, held during the 2008 Olympic Games.
