Alexandre Van Der Linden : Belgian serviceman for 30 years, military close-combat instructor, Belgium Technical Director of WKMF, FFTS and COS.
Alain FORMAGGIO (France) created FFTS in 1993 to promote professional self-defence to police forces and security agents.
In 1998, he was the first policeman to be nominated instructor of Krav Maga by Eyal YANILOV (Israel). From this moment on, he combined the basic techniques of Krav Maga, dodges and « police » take down to develop the pro FFTS self-defence method.
En 2006, Alain Formaggio was nominated technical director of World Krav Maga Federation by its President Alessandro DEL PIA (Italy).
Alain modified the technique progressions of both WKMF and FFTS federations to unite them.
In 2008, Alain asked Jean-Michel LEHRO (Belgium), Europe technical director of WKMF, to create operationnal techniques for military use from WKMF Krav Maga techniques.
The two men founded COS: Close-Combat Operational System, a mix of Krav Maga and pro Self for dodges, parry, riposts and Close-Combat for military use.
In this film, you will find about 50 attacks dealing with Krav Maga (individual Self-Defence), Close-Combat (military use) and professionnal Self-Defence (police use) – which means about 140 defence techniques presented with the same « body forms » in dodges, parry, riposts, but with different goals depending on whether it is an individual attack or an attack during police or military work.
The three international organisations WKMF, FFTS and COS are members of ICOSS, International Confederation Of Self-Defense Systems.
