Michel Becart began his Aikido training with Master Masamichi Onoro, but later also studied with Nobuyoshi Tamura and Kazou Chiba.
Inspired by these masters, the direct students of Morihei Ueshiba, he nevertheless remained a student of Tamura, from which he finally received the 6th Dan.
