Hong Gate Hands is attributed to Ming General Zheng Chenggong, who taught it to his soldiers during the Qing dynasty.

This title is the same source of inspiration as the Cantonese style of Hung Gar.
Hong Gate Hands is considered an essential method of Sichuan martial arts.
Grandmaster Gao Chunhe was born in 1921 in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province in China.
He studied martial arts from childhood and rose to become one of China’s greatest masters.

The footage was collected from 1983 to 1986 during China’s National Martial Arts Survey.
