Street Boxing
To defend yourself in any situation
By Robert Paturel
After 35 years spent on the ring and in the dojo, I tried to formlize a foot-fist fighting method adapted to the street.
I am a product of French Boxing, a discipline in which I earned 6 French Champion titles, I won the European title in 1984, I am also a BEES 2 Graduate.
After I practiced almost every boxing style in the world, I got interested in what's around, and especially the defense techniques against weapons.
The techniques are performed in plain clothes, with a pair of jeans limiting the movements, for I wanted to practice in real life situations.
This film shows you how to block powerful strikes, punches or kicks, how to keep a safety range, how to position yourself, how to move facing one or several opponents.
Above all, you wil find the principles of safety to defend yourself.
The boxer will have a certain advantage compared to a non practitioner, yet he will have to adapt his guard by thinking that he fights bare hands and that putting his hands next to his face might backfire on him and arm him when taking strikes.
The use of your foot (protected by a good shoe) may be more appropriate.
Lets not forget that, if Self Defense justifies a counterattack, this counterattack must remain proportinal to the aggression.
Languages: English, German, French, Spanish
Running Time: 60 Minutes
